Our pricing model has been designed to offer a balance of cost-efficiency, scalability, flexibility and transparency.

1: The pod

The foundational component of the Inevidesk service is ‘the pod’: a bespoke built server that hosts our high performance GPU accelerated virtual desktops (vdesks). Our pods can be situated in your existing server room, your datacentre, or we can provide a hosting service (see 3: Hosting Services below) .

The pod is hardware that our customers purchase and own. They come with a three year warranty, but can be run for as long as required. Our hosted customers also have the choice of scaling by the individual vdesk (see 4: Flexidesk below) to better meet their changing requirements.

Each of our vdesks has a dedicated GPU to ensure the availability of graphical power for our customers and we use single slot GPUs to maximise density. We generally fit seven vdesks per pod, which are either 2u or 3u in height depending on the specification.

We can provide bespoke specifications for our vdesks, but illustrate two here to indicate potential configurations and price:

We can also provide pods with dedicated CPU resources for high end visualisation and CPU rendering. We can accommodate double slot GPUs in these pods which contain just 2 extremely powerful vdesks each.  All illustrative specification would be:

2: Annual service fee

Each of our pods is subject to an annual service fee. This element covers our bespoke, high performance virtualisation platform, access to our administration portal, continued support by our expert team and service updates.

Cost: £1,720 ex VAT per pod/ annum

3: Hosting services

Many of our customers choose to use our hosting services, which locates their pods in our super secure, resilient and performant data centre private suite. This provides them with the utmost flexibility and assurances for business continuity, whilst helping them meet their sustainability targets.

We also offer the hosting of virtual servers on our lightning fast, highly redundant server cluster where customer data is replicated over three physical, high speed servers on private, secure 10Gbps virtual networks.

Colocation of customer equipment is also possible if preferred - please speak to us about requirements so we can provide a detailed quotation.

Our hosting and colocation services are run in a Tier 4 data centre with redundant power and connectivity, 10Gbps network, high levels of physical security and environmental management and 24/7 remote hands support. Our data centre partner uses 100% green energy with world leading capacity PUE as low as 1.05.

4.

Our hosted customers can scale by the individual vdesk on monthly or annual commitments to better meet their changing resource requirements. Our pricing is inclusive of the vdesk, service and hosting fees and is billed on a monthly basis.

A customer must be hosted with Inevidesk and own at least one pod to take advantage of the Flexidesk service.

Flexidesks can have bespoke configurations; illustrative monthly pricing for reference:

Flexidesk specificationMonthly commitment ex VATAnnual commitment ex VAT
Mid-spec vdesk (as above)£119£99
High-spec vdesk (as above)£179£149

CPU (4vCPU) and RAM (32G) bolt-ons are also available for the mid-spec vdesk at £20 on a monthly commitment or £15 on an annual commitment.

Other cost elements you should take into consideration:

1: Remote desktop connection

A remote desktop tool is required to connect to a vdesk. This could be Windows RDP, Parsec, Logmein, HP Anyware, Splashtop etc. The choice is yours!

We are long term partners with Parsec, the Unity owned world leading remote desktop technology. This solution is recommended for international users, users with limited bandwidth and those seeking best possible colour accuracy. We can offer discounted Parsec seats on request.

2: Windows licensing

Microsoft requires all users of virtual desktops using the Windows operating system to have the relevant virtualisation access rights (which will also activate the OS on the vdesk). There are multiple options available: please discuss this with your IT consultant who will also need to supply this licensing.
